U.S.A. Texas

Hey all,

Just wanted to hear who else on the board is applying for Fall 2007. I've sent everything in and just took the NET test last Saturday. Now the waiting game begins!

that's what i was wondering too! I think that might be old information, because i distinctly remember hearing that you had the summer to complete pre-reqs. and another thing, the letter of intent says that it is due back on friday the 23rd of april....

april 23rd is not a friday.

hahaha :)

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to the forum, but this looks like exactly what I need! I have some questions about the UT-Houston nursing program. I just got my acceptance letter yesterday! I'm so excited, but again I have some questions... if there is anyone that can help answer my questions I would greatly appreciate it! ThAnKs!

haha well i guess i should post my questions so that i can get answers....

What is the best way to go about financial aid? Does anyone know anything about the daycare? how many hours do you have to take a semester?

thanks guys!

Hi and congrats on your acceptance!

For financial aid, make sure you fill out a FAFSA and the school should also send you a list of scholarships you may be eligible for. I would get the FAFSA done ASAP.

As far as hours per semester, for the regular BSN program (if it stays the same):

Semester 1 & 2: 14 hours

Semester 3 & 4: 12 hours

Semester 5: 13 hours

I'm sorry I don't know anything about the daycare!

Good Luck!

Thanks Tictac!

I already got my FAFSA turned in so I guess I just have to wait on my list of scholarships!

Do you know if they let you take less or more hours per semester than the outline?

Thanks!

I got the acceptance packet today and it said that the pre-reqs are due by May 15. Am I reading this wrong? I thought you had until the end of summer to finish the pre-reqs.

I got mine too and it said the same thing!

During the interview, we discussed taking my Philosophy and Humanities over the summer. Well, I guess UT will be bombarded with calls on Monday.;)

I'm surprised they didn't mention some kind of orientation or anything. I've only been there to test and interview.

yayyy! i got mine too! i guess i should probably call TWU and tell them I"m not going to their school anymore haha. yay everyone!

Congratulations! You should feel proud to have been accepted to two colleges! :monkeydance:

Thanks Tictac!

The only way you can take fewer hours in a semester is if you've gotten credit for the class already, such as Pharm. Otherwise, you're pretty much stuck with the schedule.

Thanks! you were a big help! are you a current student?

congrats everyone who got their acceptance letters! I guess we will be getting to know each other soon! =)

How about that hepatitis B vaccination? I got it 7 years ago (the three shot series), and I still have all of my shot records. Do they make you get it again? or do I need a booster shot?

I was also wondering about that prerequisite due date. My guess is that it is wrong information, because it contradicts what their website says.
