Tarrant County College Spring 2014

U.S.A. Texas

I haven't found a thread for Spring 2014 TCC nursing applicants, so I thought I would start one! I still have 2 more classes to complete before I can officially apply. I have an A in A&P I, and hope to have an A in A&PII this semester. I scored 92.5 on my HESI, but I might re-take it.

Who else is applying and what does everyone else have?? :)

@ktm89 I followed the feed for your class. I am very nervous about the vocab portion of the test. I am studying the book and Quizlet however I still feel like after reading other peoples posts I will not be ready, any advice?

Hello everyone.... I am just posting my scores. I have a 4.0GPA and 89 HESI, but I am retaking the HESI in a few weeks to see if I can do better. I am so nervous! Good luck everyone! :)

@jlock I thought you can only take the HESI once per testing period? At least for TCC that's their rule.

@Tiffanies, I took my first HESI in February. I wanted to get a feel for it. I was still in the process of finishing my last two sciences (AP2 and Microbiology) which I took both this past spring semester. I have not taken the HESI for this current application period. :)

Oh good thinking, what did you think about the test if you don't mind sharing? I take it on Monday and am very anxious.

Has anyone submitted their application yet? I was supposed to meet with an advisor today but she didn't show. I was told by someone else we are supposed to turn it into the dean's office. Is that right?

Last semester we turned them into the advisor at the allied health building

Do you have to make an appointment to turn it in? I've tried to meet with an adviser twice now and both times no one has showed up. I want to make sure I turn it all in to the right place though!

Nope. I think they stopped accepting them after 3 or 4 though. Are you sure you're going to the right place?

@tiffanies, I didn't think it was bad. If you studied the book or internet sources, you should be fine. Good luck!!!

@ktm89

I'm going to be applying with a 4.0 and a 90.5 hesi. Do you think I have a good chance? I'm afraid ill be right on the edge.

I am scheduled to take the HESI tomorrow. I have gone thru the Evolve book and I've looked at the vocab words and things on quizlet.com.

So my question for those of you that have already taken the HESI - Are the practice tests on www.test-guide.com pretty close to what we will be tested over? If not, what other practice tests do you recommend? What was closest to the actual test?

I just want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with us!
