Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Has anyone gotten the Nursing Skills online component yet? I can only find 7th ed., but not 8th. I am in the 1st summer class and got an email saying we need the 1st day of class. Any help?

Online 3.0 ver. 8th ed. hasn't been released until 15th of July. I've got email from nursing dep? Or my prof. And she said if we purchase 2.0, 7th ed., we will be able to update free later.

Not sure if anyone has asked this yet but i cant find it..where do we put the patches? Right arm of all scrub tops and jackets? 1 per uniform? Thanks! :)

Not sure which campus your going to, but for North Harris I have written in my notes that it is on the left shoulder. One on scrub top and one on the lab jacket.

I have been registered for RNSG 1105, 8/5-8/9. When we make are payment today are we also supposed to get our id badge made today? I remember her saying once you get registered for all your classes, to get your id badge made. However, I also remember her saying that we had to have our id badge if we were in the building which we will be for RNSG 1105.

Also, for NH we have to have all documents uploaded to certified profile by July 18th, right? I wrote that in my notes but just want to be extra sure.:nailbiting:

Last thing, we can wear any color scrubs to lab right? I know we can wear street clothes to RNSG 1105 but I think scrubs for this class make more sense. What do you guys think?

Yes, July 18th. I spoke with Mrs. ***** and she said if we have an problems with getting shots done to let her know. My third Hep B isn't due until July 25th so I will be over the deadline but she said that's fine. Yes, any color scrubs to lab. I will also be wearing scrubs..I am a dental assistant now and have prob 25 pairs of black (that's what i have to wear to work everyday) so you guys will be seeing me in black in every lab lol. I am not sure about that badge though, sorry!

Also, did you get an email about your summer course? I have not received anything yet but i was registered for the summer course. My dates showed from July 29th to August 18th though, I paid and was waiting on email for date confirmation.

If you go to the tab that says class shedule and fee statment, then click summer 2013, then it will pull up the charges and the schedule. It will show July 29th- Aug 18th, but in the notes section directly below, it will show which week you are registered for.

I didn't receive an email but knew to check every nook and cranny on the college home page from when I was registered last year at Kingwood. I guess I will call regarding the badge.

I received the email about the badge. Glad I checked my email because we have to get the badge today. :eek:
