Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Penguino that would be quite the drive! I am sure you are in at Montgomery! If I can get into Cyfair with a mediocre score you will definitely get into Montgomery! It seems a lot of people on here had Montgomery as first choice.

I know this sounds crazy but it just seems so unreal for me to get into CyFair with my score. I hope it isn't a mistake, I have a copy of my letter in hand. They cant take it back now right?!

And Jessi29 you are definitely in somewhere!! Was Montgomery your first choice?

Ok Now I have a question. I think this has been discussed on here before but I am asking again lol. I previously did a background check for the LVN program, so do I have to do the background check again? I had to fill out a Declaratory Order from the BON, I received the letter from them stating I can take the NCLEX after a nursing program. So if I do have to do another background check will I get a blue card this time around or will I get the blue card without having to do another background check?

I hope that makes sense!

No, if you have already completed the fingerprint and palm scan through L1-Identity Solutions, then you are good to go. Once the SON submits your name to the BON it will automatically generate a blue post card to be sent to you...provided the incident was cleared up through the Declaratory Order.

10.3 was the cut off, so close! I asked and I'm the #10 alternate. I wonder if there's any hope.

I don't want to get your hopes up, but when I attended last years orientation in May at NH I met at least 15 people who attended that were not on the final roster, and that was just one orientation since I didn't have to attend the later orientation. Additionally, the speaker told us at orientation that 130 people were accepted, but 95 was the official roster count in August. People change their minds or get accepted into another program and numbers change. My advice is to prepare like you've been accepted, think positive and be ready in case they call you. Keep your chin up, I'll send you some good juju and prayers. (Grin)
