Help please... Endorsing fr. California to texas

U.S.A. Texas

Published

i was wondering about the requirements of the texas BON (endorsement RN)...

am i still eligble coz i just found out 3 days ago that i passed but i have CA license and i don't have any experience over there and now i'm currently residing here in texas. am i still eligible to apply TX license?

For all those wondering if they are able to endorse "expired" pass letters/test results frim CA BON to TX BON, it is indeed possible! I took and passed the NCLEX in Oct 2007 and when my file expired I gave up on it coz I did not think it was possible to endorse the results anymore. But just a couple of months ago I started researching and thought to myself that I should just go and try my luck. So I filled up the necessary documents and passed all the requirements, and thru God's goodness I recieved my Texas license number (at least online, I have yet to recieve the paper license i the mail) last May 1, only two months since I sent all the documents. This forum has been very helpful and contains almost all the information needed in the endorsement process. But its always best to contact Texas BON directly if you are unsure of what to do coz they would know how best to advise you. Like when I read that a requirement was that the NCLEX must have been taken 4 yrs prior to endorsement unless practicing/working as a nurse I emailed TX BON and asked if my recent hospital experience here in the Philippines and abroad would be considered and they replied yes it would. So I send a notarized copy of my employment certificates along with the application form. I hope all of you are also successful in endorsing your results! :-)

yeah, endorsing the license is really easy.

yes, they don't require ces and ssn for the endorsement of license.

you don't need the picture really. all you need for the endorsement is the filled-out endorsement form of texas, the $200 check, the letter from your original state stating you passed your NCLEX exam, the fingerprint card as well. and that's it...

OK, I know this a "blast from the past" but may be some folks could chime in.

I'm also foreign-educated nurse who's been living in US almost for the past 25 years. I passed my NCLEX back in 1993 in NY where I practiced for the 20 years. I also have active NJ RN lic by endorsement. We recently moved to Texas and I'm in the process of obtaining RN license via endorsement. So far so good. Both of my RN lic from NY and NJ were endorsed via NURSYS service. I had my livescan finger prints done (though it still shows as pending on TX BON website). I also passed TX BON juriceprudence exam.

But here's my question. There is one more item shows as "required" when I check my application status online: It says "lisensure Russia". ??? I never claimed to have any foreign license. All my nursing career for the past 20 years has been right here in USA?

I was born and raised in USSR (Russia), also my initial nursing ed was done there, but I've never been licensed in Russia or worked thereas a nurse . I actually have left that country within one month after graduation from nursing school. In all fairness, I haven't contacted TX BON yet, but just wanted to hear if someone else had same/similar situation? I know when I endorsed my NY RN license to NJ they did not ask me about foreign "license" b/c this has never been part of my app, neither it it is for TX BON?

Your feedback is much appreciated.

Hello, I'm a new graduate nurse who is seeking to endorse his CA license to TX and I have a couple questions about the process. I've tried calling their phone # but I've been unsuccessful all week. The closest I was able to get was waiting on hold for an hour before my call was dropped.

I've been to the TX BON website and have printed out the Endorsement Application for RNs and the Application for a six month temporary permit. I also have printed the verification of RN licensure form.

The temporary permit is the first step in the process according to the "temp app" and allows the individual to begin the refresher course, etc.

My questions are: when do they send me the temporary license in this process? Before the refresher course or after?

I've also been unable to find much about the offered refresher courses; does this information get sent to me after I've sent in the temporary license packet?

Sorry, its just a little confusing going back and forth between these three packets.

Thank you for any advice or help you can offer!

I know this post is so old. I'm in the process of endorsement from California to texas since I got a job offer there. I think they said it takes 6-8 weeks. The person you may want to contact is [email protected]. email her and see where your application is during the process. Hope this helps.

how much is the fingerprinting fee? thank you

Hi, can someone who have recently endorsed their licence shine a light on how long does it take to get your license.

I applied for endorsement from CA to TX on 3/2/14, paid the $186 app fee the same day via credit card. I got a letter with my TX temporary license number on it two weeks later, valid till 07/2014.

I sent the verification form and a $60 check to CA BON on 3/3/14, tracking said it was received on 3/14/14. As of today they have yet to cash my check. CA website says to allow 8-10 weeks for processing the verification form which is why I am waiting and not trying to hassle them by contacting them. Does it really takes that long because I am apparently impatient?

I did my fingerprints via print card which cost $20 and sent the two copies out with a $41.45 check to MorphoTrust USA on Hollis Drive as indicated on 3/18/14. As of today my check has not been cashed. I plan to call them tomorrow regarding the processing.

I took and passed the state Jurisprudence Exam on 3/18. So now I am just waiting for my license. How long is each process for those who have recently done this and when can I get my license? Thanks anyone who replies.

I just got my TX license endorsed from CA. It took just over 2 months to get my permanent license issued.

Hi Pink Color,

We have the same problem. I lost my notice of passing the test. Were you able to here form CA BRN? I hope you did.

hi, i gave my NCLEX through ca BON -may 2009, i didn't get Ca RN licence as i didn't have SSN. Now, my file is expired. I moved to Kentucky recently from India, i was wondering if i could transfer my NCLEX pass letter from CA to Kentucky. How did you approach CA BON for this?? I emailed CA BON twice but didn't get any reply so far. Can you please share how things work out with CA BON. Did you send VOL too or just a request for the NCLEX report?? Please help!!

Hi! I saw your post as I was searching for someone who went through this process. I just sent my check and TX verification form to CA today so they can verify my old CA license to TX for my permanent TX license process. When did CA finally verify your license to TX? My temp license expires end of July, and I am worried CA won't send the form in time. I have everything else done for the TX license but that. Let me know when you get a chance! Thank you!

Hi, my situation is different from yours. I endorsed my CA NCLEX report ( I don't have CA RN license) to Kentucky and it took around 3 to 4 weeks for CA BRN to transfer my NCLEX report to Kentucky. Hope it helps.

Hi, I'm trying to endorsement my CA license to Texas. I finish the application form and send everything. Now for the criminal background check, after logging to the identogo website and following all the instruction, there is one part that needs to be filled up for social security number or license number. I don't have any of that, I can not proceed for online scheduling of the criminal record check. where can I get the temporary license number?

Please help. Thanks
