  1. The requirements they have asked so far was license verification and CO residency. No background check or any other requirement. Just wanted to make sure if these two are all that is needed. I contacted the CO nursing Board ( DORA) but no response so far.
  2. Hi, I applied for CO RN license by endorsement. I did my license verification through Nursys. I would like to know how long it takes to get CO license once you establish your Colorado residency (I have a current KY compact state license). Is there any other requirement other then establishing residency?

  5. Same mother company, different hospital Hi, I am currently a Registered Nurse at one HCA (Hospital corp of America) hospital. Would my current hospital know that I applied to another HCA hospital (in a different state)? What are the repurcussions of applying to a different hospital (beloning to the same mother company)? I am looking to move to another state and would not like my current hospital to find out that I am looking for another job. Thanks.
  6. Is there any States in the US which does not require Social Security Number( international applicant) to issue RN license? Any input is highly appreciated.
  7. Yes, a nurse with GNM from India can become RN in US. Regarding the CES, i think it's CES professional but I am not very sure.
  8. Hi, my situation is different from yours. I endorsed my CA NCLEX report ( I don't have CA RN license) to Kentucky and it took around 3 to 4 weeks for CA BRN to transfer my NCLEX report to Kentucky. Hope it helps.
  9. Thanks justbeachynurse - one last question. If I had an Asn from the USA and got an RN here. Then got a bachelors later- do I have to inform the licensing board that I have completed my bachelors and have my records with them updated?
  10. Thank you so much for your quick response- I want to eventually complete a masters in nursing. I have a bachelors degree is nursing but my licence (from india) shows that I have a diploma (because I became a RN after I completed my diploma). I have two questions: 1) does the U.S. RN licence show what my academic degree is (and if so what will that be) and 2) do you need a RN licence to get into nursing school for a masters degree?
  11. Hello everyone, Background: I worked as a RN for two years after completing a Diploma in Nursing (which was a 3 year Course) and getting my Indian RN license. I completed my BSc in Nursing (which was a 2 year course) after that and worked as a RN again. My Indian RN license was registered as a Diploma holder RN. I approached the Nursing Council (Delhi Nursing Council) after completing my BSc in nursing to ask if I needed to apply for a new RN license. They told me told that RN license number would change only after the completion of a Master's degree. Question: I recently started my Visa Screening Process with CGFNS and my nursing schools will be sending my transcripts to CGFNS. Assuming that everything goes well (and I get my Visa Screen Certificate along with my RN license for Kentucky): · Will the RN license be BSN RN License or Diploma RN License? · How will the fact that my Indian RN license has me as a Diploma holder RN impact my RN license in Kentucky? · What can I do to ensure that the right credential is registered? Kindly help. I look forward to your reply. P.S In US, when anybody upgrade ones RN to BSN, does license number changes or is there any need to update it on ones license or it doesn't matter so long as you have your transcript and other required papers to prove that you have done BSN.
  12. hi, i gave my NCLEX through ca BON -may 2009, i didn't get Ca RN licence as i didn't have SSN. Now, my file is expired. I moved to Kentucky recently from India, i was wondering if i could transfer my NCLEX pass letter from CA to Kentucky. How did you approach CA BON for this?? I emailed CA BON twice but didn't get any reply so far. Can you please share how things work out with CA BON. Did you send VOL too or just a request for the NCLEX report?? Please help!!
  13. hi kirstine, i am a foreign educated nurse( tibetan) from India. i came to kentucky on fiance visa and will get married soon. i am about to start my kentucky BON RN licensure process. i am also confused as to what and how to start the process. I did a little research on it. So, i am going to start this way:# Start the visa screening process - sending transcripts from india and validation of india RN licensure # Meanwhile, prepare for IELTS academic module and give the exam in two months time. # Once i get my ssn, apply for finger print, #Apply for Kentucky BON- i am confused when to fill up the Kentucky RN licensure form- after cgfns notify kentucky BON???? if you have any idea on this please let me know. #Apply Pearson vue for NCLEX once all the above things are done. # Iam not sure when to give the jurisprudence exam- let me know if you have any idea on this. Good Luck!! let me know if you have any inputs. Thank you!
