  1. TX does not require a Philippine license to apply for the NCLEX.
  2. Hello, I honestly won't be able to answer your questions with confidence since I have not encountered this problem before. But I did do a little research for you. Listed on the Texas Board of Nursing, it states "B) Follow the instructions provided on Criminal Background Checks. A social security number is not required; however, receipt of the FBI criminal history report will take longer for the candidates who do not have this identifying information." You can also check under the "Verify a License Online" and check "Six-month Temporary Permit" to view your information. The TX BON no longer mails out RN licenses so I'm not sure if they would mail out temporary licenses. Hopefully this helps.
  3. Hi Dwayne. It seems that the BON has updated their process for the background check and the fingerprintcard. You can check: http://www.bon.texas.gov/olv/pdfs/fp-generalinst.pdf Hopefully that helps.
  4. If you applied with CGFNS for the CES "Professional" report, the VOL is included. As stated on the TX BON website, "The VOL must come directly from the licensing authority and must bear the authority’s official seal. " So I guess, to answer your question the first time around. Go ahead and resend a VOL form from CGFNS to the PRC so it can be included with your report. When you send your application, send in the application form, the fingerprint and a check. To make it formal, I sent my application with a cover letter. (You can apply for the CES "Academic" report...and then personally request the PRC to send the VOL form to BON...but that just sounds more complicated.)
  5. For those that were asking for the "Certification of Ineligibility to take the Licensure Examination..." I finally found the form and realized that the Ineligibility only applies to a "Non-Filipino Citizen." It is the PRC-IAD Form No.101 which you can claim at the International Affairs Division. If you need a contact, the form I have has [email protected] listed as well as a phone number:314-0019. It also says on the form that Proof of Citizenship and Transcript of Records are requirements for processing. If you want to know how the form looks exactly I can email it to you by request. So..just let me know. I hope this helps Non-NLE Takers
  6. 2. When you apply with the BON, your application along with its fee expires one year after BON has received it. I would advise you to first process the CES report and only after CGFNS has informed you that the report has been sent to BON should you submit your NCLEX application. 3. Your VOL should have directly came from the PRC who should have forwarded it to CGFNS.
  7. No. I never paid any immigration fees nor taxes while staying at the Philippines. My tuition was the highest bracket though...
  8. Pearson Vue is the testing center. Once you paid their examination fee and the TX BON has approved you, Pearson Vue will send you an "Authorization to Test." I didn't use a reviewer for the jurisprudence exam. I googled.
  9. call them once you have ALL your requirements completed and submitted and after CGFNS has given you notification that they mailed the CES report to TX BON.
  10. No. You are not required to submit the affidavit of graduation UNLESS you are graduating from a Texas school.
  11. I actually waited a few months before applying with Pearson Vue due to money. You should, however, apply with Pearson Vue within two weeks to a month after you send in your application with TX BON.
  12. hello. Texas does not require a Philippine license. However, I took the exam to support my school. If you plan on taking nursing in the Philippines, you MUST apply for exemption for examination with the Philippine Regulation Commission. One of the requirements for taking the NLE is Filipino citizenship. If you were born to a Filipino parent, you can try and apply for dual citizenship.
