OOPS! I forgot Katie didn't get to do SimBaby! :o

Thanks for the explanation about the Mondays.

At the VA, we dealt with ALL kinds. I had a pt with s/p stroke w/L-sided extreme weakness, I had a pt with End-Stage COPD who was HOSPICE... I mean it went from one extreme to the other.

As for that instructor....I don't mind some good, some bad. It shows she's not a push-over, and also shows she's not a total ______. :)

I want someone I can learn from. :monkeydance:

Allison,

Has your incomplete been replaced with you lecture grade yet? Mine hasn't and I wanted to know about when we can expect it because I have to go out to el centro soon.

I have just checked eConnect again. It shows that there is a supply pack for 3rd semester for $56. What is it for???????? For IV seminar? I hope it's a typo on eConnect.

Katie

Thanks Mi'Shelle for responding to my thread, but if you don't mind me asking what was your gpa when you applied?

Also what is the average age for the students in the program?

Woah- I don't know about no stinkin' supply pack. I thought we were done with those! I'll wait on that and see if that's something I have to buy or not.....like the Psych book because I heard from several students that that book was a waste of money....

Our youngest person is rounding about 20 and our oldest is rounding about 60. We've got a wide range in between...no one even pays attention to the age, well at least it doesn't register in my mind. I'm 24 and a couple of weeks into the last semester the teacher looked at everyone and said, "well no one here is under 25 are they?" Me and about 3 other people raised our hands....that's how sporifice the really young ones are- the teacher doesn't even realize they're there.

Most of the 1st semester students last semester were probably in their 30's or 40's.

I know there were a few 19-29, and a few older than 40.

I agree, age doesn't matter. You can be fresh out of high school, or going back with the grandkiddos!

If you want to do it, don't let age stop you. :)

The first time I applied, I had a 3.77 on the pre-reqs, and a 3.82 on all the support courses.

I retook my Algebra class during the wintermester (A), and took Music during the spring as a fast-track (A). So, I applied the second time with a 4.0/4.0.

The first time I applied, there were 4.0 students that didn't get in. The second time I applied (with a 4.0), there were 3.77 students that got accepted.

So, really, you never know. It could go way down, or stay at 4.0.

Have you completed any of your pre-reqs?

They still manage to surprise me. :uhoh21:

By the way, I didn't want to buy the psych book for 'new' price either, but I saw it in a Half Price store around $10 so I bought it.

WOW! Katie that's a GREAT price! I can't find it under $45 anywhere.....I thought psych was in 4th semester. I forget which semester has which studies. I bet we've got to pay something for the IV seminar too!!! I wouldn't be surprised!

You know there were several students who didn't get registered for Spring so they had to go up to the school to see what was going on and one girl was completely marked through the list which, to the school, means she DROPPED!!!!!!!!!! How can someone make that kind of mistake?!!! She said she wanted to complain but just really wanted to get back to her break and not deal with them hahaha. I would have felt the same way but man that would have scared me!!!!!!!

I have a few pre req, but I took them about 2yrs. ago. So I'm thinking I'm probable going to have to take some of them over, because my grade point average was like a 2.8. So what are all the pre req. you have to have for El Centro?
