U.S.A. Texas

Hello All!! I know it is VERY early to be thinking about this but the process to get in takes quite a long time. I wanted to make a thread to help us all get through the application process together, share problems, feelings, etc. :)

Where is everyone doing their physicals at? I live around Garland and was just thinking about going into a CareNow. I have BCBS PPO if thats any help!

Do you know h?w much it is at care now>

There is a doctor in Mesquite, its called Family Vital Practice, i think its 67 or 76 something like that for a visit. I am a current ADN student and that's where I went do my physical. They are very busy so either go early without an appointment or call and make an appointment.

Is there any chance anyone may know the average amount of points for acceptance?

I was looking on the Spring El Centro 2015 thread and it looked like the cut off was 27 or 28 as @Lnduke81 said! Hopefully if I can get 11 points on the HESI I can apply with 28!

Spring 2015 cut off was 27 points. Therefore, I think people who have 27 and up stand a good chance. However, I would take winter and January flex term classes (Technical Writing and maybe arts) those classes are pretty easy and it will give you 2 extra points to apply with.

Do they have January flex that ends by January? I thought they said, any class you get after the due date for submitting your application doesn't count. I'm I right?

Hello everyone. I been lurking these forums for awhile now. I am planing to apply to el centro for nursing. I will be taking my Hesi on Nov 18. I am very nervous,I am starting new. I have taken AP, eng 1301,1302, hist 1301, humanities, college algebra. I know i need to take the two HPRS classes. It looks like I won't be able to apply for fall 2015. Any advice on what other classes I should take?

Flex classes will count as long as they are done before January 31st which is the last day to submit applications. Normally, January classes start the 2nd and end on the 30th or 31st. Anything taken after the deadline will no longer count. Hope this helps.

You can take the HPRS classes in a flex term, they are both easy. You may also try taking Technical Writting, nutrition, speech, and government. They sound hard, but when I took them they were pretty easy and were not time demanding at all.

Am giving up my spot. I got in at UT Tyler, am accepting them instead. Good luck to us as we begin our journey to successful carriers.:
