just wanted to start a thread for those who just applied for the fall. last year's seemed successful.

i turned in my app back in february. i've heard that interview letters will go out this month. anybody else have any info? i work with one of the instructors for the program. this is her first time helping with the app process, so she was unsure of details.

I have no clue and there is NO WAY im calling/ going back up there! She was so mean to me! I mean obviously I didnt get it so Ill just assume Im supposed to get a rejection letter eventually!

***** was rude to me when I called. I'm just going to let it go. I got into another program, so I'll be a nurse in two years regardless. NS is missing out on an excellent student and someone who's an amazing caregiver. I stand apart from others in my unit now and it will be no different when I graduate. Their loss. 

Don't give up!!!! You'll get in. Let it roll off your back.

Likewise Ive been in the medical field since I was 18, I know the front and the back inside and out. Ive been a medical receptionist and a CNA both in a clinical setting and an inpatient setting and now Im on a pediatric floor. I love it, I love being with patients and helping care for them its where I thrive! But I guess it just wasnt meant to be at NSCC. Im going to get my associates in early childhood education so I can go on and get my bachelors so I can do a child life specialist program, I really want to stay in the area I'm in now, I want to work in peds and Im in LOVE with my hem/onc floor! So if I cant do nursing right now I'll attempt it again, at a different school, when I'm done with this!

I'm an MR/CP on the high risk OB/postpartum unit at , so I totally understand. Child life is great. You should follow your calling. Nursing is what I'm good at and it provides a great income, so that's why I do it. I love my patients and strive to take the very best care of them.

Im at Vanderbilt too :) well childrens hospital lol and before that I was a CP on the surgical floor in the adult hospital

I emailed ***** yesterday morning - a very-short inquiry letter - rec'd no answer back.

I'll let you all know if I find out anything. I'm happy with the college I am going to go to, but I am still worried about $. Part of me says to give up but I am going to smack that part of me.... and go on towards being a nurse.

I know another girl who hasn't gotten anything from NSCC yet either... So I'm not sure??? I think that's crazy though!

Well, I didn't get a packet this week. Today in the mail I got a letter for a greet and meet on June 13 from 930 to 1130. The letter states they will distribute information regarding financial aid as well as additional costs of the nursing program. It also encourages us to bring a list of questions regarding the program. We need to RSVP with a person listed at the bottom.

For those whom have not got letters yet, please don't give up. You must be on the waiting list.

But people have already gotten letters letting them know they were on a waiting list so I dont understand why we wouldnt get one if we were. It makes no sense. Not even a rejection letter still! Not gonna lie scared to call lol maybe Ill stop being a chicken next week and call... maybe :)
