Loewenberg CON Fall 17 Traditional Program

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

Hi, thought I would make a discussion for those of us applying for the fall of 2017 to the traditional program at the University of Memphis. I've seen several for the accelerated, but with the deadline only a week away, I figured it might be nice to meet future classmates.

Hi, no I applied to the traditional program. I'll have a bachelors in May but didn't want the fast pace.

I haven't heard anything back yet. But I think we should pretty much go ahead & team up because I've been told it's best to work together in professional school.

Hey everyone! I also applied for the fall 2017 traditional program. I'm a transfer student with a 3.3 overall gpa and 2 As and 1 B in my science courses. I'm taking my last prereq for the requirements which is African American history. Hopefully I get accepted into the program this go around because I don't want to sit out again. The whole waiting process is a bummer!

This go around? You did not get accepted the first time? Why not?

Of course, have you thought about housing options if you get accepted?

Yes, I actually called the lady who is in charge of Residential life and she said that the Carpenter Complex was a good place to live. If I don't live there I'm just going to apply to stay somewhere on campus where I can get a single room dorm.

Hey, I applied to they normally accept about 150 students, I applied for the accelerated program for Fall 2017.

I looked into the park Ave apartments since they are next to the building where the nursing school is held. But other than that I've been looking locally as well

That's awesome. I don't know too much about Memphis to want to live off campus so I wouldn't trust my judgement to pick housing off campus with some of the stories I've heard about Memphis being dangerous in some areas.

Same but I have family in Tennessee that have been helping me navigate the area. My dad's also from there and we plan to go look at places together before I decide to not stay on campus. Only reason I'm considering off campus. I wish I would've know you were looking into on campus housing when I applied. I would've listed you as a possible roommate.

Do you have social media? I'm on instagram @adose.ofshay I would prefer we need to talk more in depth about things.

I added you mines is pagingdrdiamond_
