Good Luck with your move! I lived in Tn for 8 years and I really didn't like it. Now, there are nicer places than where I was. I was in Memphis. Chattanooga is beautiful! Nashville is OK. There are other areas that are pretty nice. My mother lives in Germantown and she loves it. It's really quiet there. The other places that's nice are: Cordova, Collierville, and Millington.

Take Care!

I am thinking of moving to Tn, bu Tn doesn't have recipricocity with Florida as I understand .Please help.I am a RN

I'm moving this thread to the Tennessee Nurses Forum, hoping it will accrue more responses that will be of assistance. Good luck!

I have been researching pay inthe Knoxville area, I currently live near the Smokies in Maryville. The pay is about the same everywhere you go because ( I have heard on here) that the hospitals all got together and basically stale dated the pay, new RN is 17.90? at Fort Sanders, around 17-18 everywhere else. I could be wrong so hopefully someone will get on and fill you in!

Specializes in Emergency Dept, ICU.

Knoxville = Lowest pay you have ever seen! currently making 18.45

Nashville= better

Memphis= best, bust has a higher cost of living

This is the website, and there are forms to download/print and send in. I also came from Florida, and when you send your check to TN with the forms, it actually takes a relatively short time. A temp license you can work with comes first. Luckily, TN is a compact state with NC among others, so if you are in East TN like me, you may also work in NC if it suits you. Even though your fingerprints are in the NCIC for Florida, you have to be fingerprinted again if you are going to work in NC. Best of luck!:twocents:
