Chattanooga Hiring Freezes?

Inquired about posted position at Siskin Rehab, and was informed they are under hiring freeze to be re-evaluated in January. Does anyone know if any other hospitals in Chattanooga are also under hiring freeze?

Erlanger and Memorial are both under hiring freezes as well. Memorial had recently hired 27 people then called them and told them not to show up for orientation..Good luck in your search. Try the outlying hospitals in North Georgia. I believe Hutcheson is hiring

I cannot speak to Chattanooga, but I know that Covehnent Health in the Knoxville area is definately hiring nurses! Take a look at their job postings at http://www.covenantcareers.com.

I hear Parkridge is hiring. Hopefully they will resume hiring at the big two after Christmas.

I wouldn't count on any positions that aren't essential to patient care being filled at the big two for at least 6 months, if not longer. The economy is kicking everyone.

Erlanger is on a hiring freeze right now. The only positions being filled are ones that can be filled by transferring people in from different departments

Anyone who works at Erlanger know if they have lifted the hiring freeze yet? I see more jobs listed on the website now....

As I understand, nursing is hiring but internal candidates receive preference. I'd go for it. The worst that can happen is that you might not get called for an interview.
