Calling all Southwest Tennessee Community College 2012 Fall Hopefuls

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

The deadline to apply is February 1, 2012. How many are applying? I thought I would start a thread so we can all wait together, and get to know each other. I finished my special application today and will turn it in tomorrow at the start of the spring semester. Good luck to everyone!

I hope that's not right

Hi Hopefuls, I heard we wouldn't hear till mid-April. According to two different friends, one started last fall and one this spring...the lowest score in both classes was right under 57...56 something. I can't imagine 800 applicants...sounds like a whole lot to me. The question I have: do they admit from the top down...that is...hightest score, next highest score, etc...or do they factor other things in the decision process? Hard to know! What happens if they have 60 students with a score of 61? Do they simply take all the 61's? This is a strange process...good luck to everyone!

So wait, have they sent out rejection letters? And if so isn't that a good sign for the people who haven't received one? I hate they pushed the waiting time a month back. At least we know about it though I was reading through the Fall 2011 hopefuls and they were all freaking out because they were told March. Online for us it says April.

I just called admissions and she said the last round of rejection letters were sent last Tuesday and she transferred me to this really nice lady Ms. Shaw and she checked my file and informed me they kept my file and that they have started calling students about their acceptance and that I should get a call with in the next couple days. SOOO.. Good luck to all!!

Super excited now! I haven't received a rejection letter so I am taking that as a positive sign. :)

Last Tuesday as in March 20th?

From what I've read they usually call on a Friday so maybe we will get lucky and get calls tomorrow!!!

I got accepted to baptist today!!!!

Congratulations and best of luck to you aaanders2020!

Congrats aaanders2020 on being accepted. I am interested in applying also if you dont mind me asking what was your GPA and is the TEAS test a requirement. Any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.

My gpa was 3.43... I did not have to take any kind of test... They changed that this semester along with the fact u will not need letter of recommendations...I am a transfer student ( i have more that 30 credit hrs) and will start my clinicals in spring 2014. Therefore I will have my bachelors in 3 and a half years... Anything u want to know just ask!!!

Congrats aaanders2020
