Nursing Students TEAS

Since ATI provides no student assistance to interpret scores, let's help each other! If enough of us enter our complete TEAS scores, we'll be able to compare notes to see how we rank in different programs, what to aim for if your school requires a Program percentile rank rather than a series of scores, etc. There is another thread where people are sharing their scores, but it looks like most people are just sharing their Adjusted Individual Total Score or whatever applies to their particular school. By sharing all the info, we can help each other better.

Please copy the scores below and then change them to your own, in your post! thanks! Please make sure to check your Program Type! It's right under the name of the school where you took it, on your score sheet.

Hi there is a link below that takes you to a site where a sample test is input and compared to the national means and percentiles. Interestingly, the four test subjects are broken down into individual sub-sections and those are all scored/ranked as well. I hope this is helpful for all!

I just took the TEAS for the first time on Saturday and got my scores today. I took the pencil/paper test so I had to wait 3 days to get my scores. Science is my strongest subject but reading not so much...The passages were pretty long and I ran out of time and had to bubble in 3 without even getting to read the question.

Not sure what happened with the reading, I usually get 99's and 100's there. But I'm happy with my score considering I couldn't afford the official study material and also didn't have time to study nearly as much as I would've liked to.

Math Section only gave me 4 algebra problems. I got 2 wrong and, boom, 50% on Algebra. But I can't be too upset, I had 90 seconds per question, I had to make a decision, spend loads of time working out every detail of problems I struggled with, or get far enough with quick work to make an educated guess and move on to problems I knew I could get right. I chose the latter, and I stand by my choice. Better to finish with a few guesses than to run out of time.

1st attempt (12-20-14) with about a week of study time post fall semester.

I applied to Georgia Perimeter College for Fall '15. They require a 63% in overall, then also 63% in individual reading and math. I have a 3.95 GPA overall, 4.0 in Sciences and we only needed a 2.7 or above.

I didn't start pre-reqs until 1-2013 and have been full force since then. Praying I get in!

1st attempt 2-23-2015. I applied to three schools: BSCC, FSCC, and USA in Alabama. I have a B.S. in Biology. I have been praying that I get in Fall 2015. I spoke with one of the advisors at BSCC before I took the exam and she stated a good test score is intermediate or higher which I'm guessing is proficient.

So i took the TEAS V last year...got a 74%. Spent a ton more time studying this time around and just took one of the online practice tests....got a 73%! So mad, then I looked at the form and I did not pick the "ADN" format, does anyone know how different this makes the test? I took the test again and got an 89% but it is the same questions. Anyone know if the "TEAS normal" is different from the "ADN" TEAS test? Thanks

I took the TEAS this past Friday and had to (impatiently) wait to get results until Monday. I took it on the computer, but my school had everyone's scores blocked until today. Anyway, I scored well especially considering it was my first time to take it.

hello can you please tell me where online you study? and what book did you use. thank you

The best study prep for me was the ATI manual. If there were topics that I was less familiar with, I looked them up on YouTube and usually found some helpful videos there. Khan Academy is especially useful, I think, especially for science, but I've heard the math videos are good, too. I used some of the practice tests, called 5 Teas Practice Tests by McGraw Hill. I always practiced under timed conditions and took one of the the online tests that you can buy from the ATI website.

Hope that helps! Best wishes!
