So i am planning to take the TEAS V exam in Sept and i have to make an 80-83. But hoping for an 85. I have the TEAS V study book from ATI ( the official study guide) i just wondered if anyone can remember or has heard of anything on the exam that WAS NOT COVERED IN THE STUDY GUIDE BOOK? I REALLY appreciate all responses, thank u!

Hi, I've been wondering the same thing. I take my TEAS V exam on Monday, July 21. What school are you applying to?

I don't think there' necessarily anything on the test that wouldn't have been covered in the book. Reading, math, and English were very straight forward as far as what is on the test.

I'm not saying that isn't true for science, but the science seems to go a little more in depth. The information in the study guide seems to be more of an overview / refresher.

I've been out of school for over 10 years. Some of the material I either never learned or it was only brought up in class very briefly. I had 2 weeks to study enough to pass. What really helped me was taking the online practice tests. It gave me a better idea of what I needed to really study / re-learn / learn.

I would highly recommend reading through this article: https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/how-i-passed-804222.html

It really covers the things to focus on. I'm not saying that there might not be other things you should know, but I think this article was very accurate. I actually ended up printing it out and starting checking off each thing as I "mastered" them.

Good luck, what tools are you using to study? Please come back and post how you did. I am going to Clayton State University. What about you? What TEAS score is your goal?

Thanks for your reply. That is my concern, Science and they guide not being covered thoroughly enough. I haven't taken Chem in 5 yrs and have not taken A & P II yet either. I will definitely check out the website. Thanks again!

I did not even know that I had to take the teas test until about a week or less before I had to take it. I used the ati testing book and found that it pretty much covered the same type of material on the test. I found though it had a lot of life science and earth science questions on it. There was a&p but Not a lot of a&p which is what I was expecting. I passed with a 71.3, (only needed a 70 to pass). Not the greatest score, but not bad to have only studied 3 days before the test. If you use that ati testing book you should be fine.

I am applying to Darton State College for Fall 2014. I took the TEAS Exam this morning. I scored in Reading 73.8, Math 83.3, Science 81.3, English 73.3, Total 78.7. I used only the ATI study guide and youtube videos for anything that I was still confused about. Everything that was my exam was in that study guide ( eventhough I choose to skip some text due to time). Since you have some time before you take it, try to study every area in the study guide.

For my TEAS, we had to get a 45 and I somehow managed a 75 (only had 2 days to study w/ 10+ years since I was in school).

I referenced chem4kids.com, physics4kids.com, biology4kids.com and a lot of YouTube videos. I found the crash course videos very helpful. I also used other resources using google if I needed further explanation. I'm not sure if any of those would help you.

Hi! I took the TEAS V last week. Everything that was on the TEAS V was covered in the study manual and once I completed the test the sub categories gave me the pages in the study guide where the material was covered. I would suggest for the science going a bit more in depth then what the study guide tells you. Best of luck :)
