It is 3 years, after accepted into the program, in Gainesville, GA but u can do clinical in the Atl area

Sorry I haven't logged on in a while. The first semester was extremely disorganized second semester has been a little better but I definitely do not feel u get what u pay for by any means, shortage in supplies for clinical. I am most concerned about how well they we will be prepared for the NCLEX. I think I heard the gpa was 2.5 or 2.0 ,mine was higher so I really can't say bc I never asked anyone else their gpa. They are very flexible for part time students though, very understanding professors

So, just to update...I was accepted & will start Spring '15. So excited! :)

So my gpa is 3.19 now and I take the TEAS in a few weeks. but i still haven't found anyone else applying to Spring 15. Anyone on her applied or planning to apply?

How did you do on your TEAS?

Need help (study tips) for the Kaplan. I made a 77 (, but had someone provided me with a better idea of what to study for in the Science section I could have scored WAY higher. Watch this youtube video First ( ), it gives a GREAT & ACCURATE idea of Math and the Kaplan itself. Listen carefully to EVERYTHING she says bc she is accurate and VERY HELPUL! The only things I would add for Math are..you have plenty of time for the exam and a calculator so if you do not know the answer do reverse math if possible. And also one question I had (only 1-2) was about % change so know the formula to calculate how to find that. Also, I stressed about memorizing conversions for NO REASON! any conversion you have, will provide the info you need as well. So all you need to know is in general how to convert. As for Science: study what areas of the brain controls thoughts and behavior controls, know what controls the immune response, review parasympathetic nervous system, review hypertension and blood vessels and asthma and respiration know the flow of blood in heart, review the function of the sinus node, fluid compartments, Resp system and how air travels through the lungs (particularly entry), Cell transportation (review osmosis, diffusion, ect...), what happens within the body when someone has asthma, review Metabolic waste, the small intestine, blood pressure (what is normal and when it is above or below normal) that is about all I can remember but I hated not having any guidance as I studied so I hope it helps someone. When you are testing if you see anything on the Kaplan you do not know make a mental note of it and cram as much as u can remember on a paper as soon as u finish and study the topics bc many sources online said if u retake it again shortly afterwards u will have the exact same questions. Unfortunately, i don't know if that is true bc i kept my score but that is how I remembered everything I shared...lol, i did horrible in Science! :-( Best of luck! It really is a VEEERY EASY test! hardest thing was Science for me.

I am a staffing coordinator for a home care agency and we hold in-service meetings monthly for CNAs. We are trying to make our meetings more interesting. Any suggestions what we can do (activities to add or icebreaker S so to say) to just ease the group and help them enjoy the Meeting. (Last mtg was our first try and we had CNAs share their funniest story, afterwards we surprised them with $20 for the best story, we want to surprise them with something new planned each month) Thank u in advance for any suggestions!

Good luck, what tools are you using to study? Please come back and post how you did. I am going to Clayton State University. What about you? What TEAS score is your goal?

So i am planning to take the TEAS V exam in Sept and i have to make an 80-83. But hoping for an 85. I have the TEAS V study book from ATI ( the official study guide) i just wondered if anyone can remember or has heard of anything on the exam that WAS NOT COVERED IN THE STUDY GUIDE BOOK? What is ur feedback on their nursing program thus far? What do u luv most and like least? After careful decision and Much thought I have decided that I am going to Apply to Clayton State University traditional BSN program. I Am planning to take the TEAS in August '14 & plan to take my remaining Pre Reqs (A & P II, Chem 1152, & Patho) in the Fall. I took the Kaplan test & the science section was pure A & P II, so I am most nervous about the science. Is anyone here applying for Spring 15 at CSU? Or anyone has applied in the past (whether you were accepted or not), I would love to hear your feedback and thoughts on your experience thus far. If you know anyone at Clayton State who has told you anything please share. My GPA is only about a 3.0-3.1 so I am hoping I am not having false hope on acceptance, I know i HAVE to do REALLY WELL on the TEAS. THANKS!
