advise on best way to study for TEAS

hello all~

are there any helpful sites that you can recommend that can help prep me for the teas exam? im particularly nervous about the science portion as I have never taken bio or chemistry, ( they aren't prereqs at my school) I did buy the ATI study guide.. but I was wondering if there was anything else out there that can help me study for the next couple of months! thanks!

Ouch, no biology or chemistry? No Anatomy or physiology?

I suppose it can be done but you really have a lot of ground to cover.

My advice would be to look at the topics covered in the ATI manual and give yourself a good base using Khan Academy.

Their videos are excellent and go in depth as well.

I'm not going to lie, this will be difficult but you have time.

Im sorry....I really need clarification here. What kind of program are you going into? How can there not be a biology requirement or chemistry?

What kind of nursing school doesn't require any biology or chemistry???

hi all .. sorry for any confusion... I did take A&P1 and 2 and am now registered for micro. NCC is the community college I am currently attending. I did search for a teas forum but I cldnt find it.. Ill try again. thanks

I used the ati teas study guide book and did the whole book. I also used the Kaplan entrance exam prep as well because my program used to do Kaplan but switched to teas during my time.

I never took my biology class or chemistry class in college as I passed both regants exam in high school but it was a good 4 to 7 years since i had those classes so I used it to brush up.

Honestly I didn't think I did so well on it when I took the exam but in actuality I got at least an 80 in each section and passing was around the 60s.

I would strongly recommend spending the money on the ATI online practice tests. They are very similar to the actual format and I found them more difficult than the actual TEAS.

It times you (which is what gets most people) so you can keep track of that and gives you the correct answer and reasoning immediately for incorrect answers.

Then you at the end you can see your overall and subject specific scores which will allow you to focus your studies.

When I did those saw I was scoring in the mid 80s for reading & composition, but got a 25 in math and a 50 in science. So I focused my studying on math and science. My highest practice test score was a 74 and that was me taking it the night before I took the TEAS.

My actual TEAS test score was an 86.
