Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hi, everybody!

I am just looking for people who applied this year to Oakland and waiting for an interview after September 1 deadline. This is my second time applying, a little worried this time....

I hope all your interviews went well. I am interviewing Monday. How long was the interview process? Does anyone know how many candidates are interviewing? It's kind of humorous that we are, as competing applicants, asking questions of each other and expecting answers. I also realize that it is quite ironic that I make that statement, preceeded by questions to all of you. Good luck to you all, and I hope we all get in.

Well, I'm interviewing Tuesday. I had a friend that interviewed last week, so I can tell you some stuff. Of course, not the big secret stuff (just kidding!). She said her interview was about 15 minutes, but seemed like 2 hours. There were 150 applicants, they are interviewing 60, I think. As you know, there's a quiz. My friend said it didn't take more than a half hour. Good luck, maybe we'll be @ OU together:) Your post is humorous though, as we are all competing. Won't you be glad once we're finally in? All this stress of the application process...geesh. But, I know school will be no cakewalk...so this is good prep, right?

Can't wait to be in school somwhere. I am also applying to UDM, OU, and one school out of state. Where else have you applied? Good luck Tuesday. OU accepts approximately 30, correct?

I must say I'm glad that the interview part is over. I'll post here once I hear something from OU. Their sim lab is pretty amazing, I must say! Only a few more weeks until they give us the news!

Hi everyone- I am currently a nursing student at OU and am very curious about the average gpa etc needed for interview. We have had faculty tell us that it is extremely difficult to get an interview (actually the phrase was "almost unheard of") for anyone with less than a 3.7 or 3.8, especially if you are an OU graduate. Is there any truth to this from your experience so far? I would love to know as this has me feeling pretty disappointed. Feel free to email me if privacy is an issue. Thanks!

High GPA is good but there is more to your being invited to an interview than your GPA. PM or email me if you have anymore questions.

Anybody from Toledo got acceptance letters?

Anyone hear yet at all? I think they have one more day of interviews tomorrow...

I believe they said we wouldn't get contacted until after November 1st. I'll let everyone know if I hear anything:)

I spoke with the admissions coordinator last week and she said that they will be letting people know this week. She said that those that are selected will be called, while the others will be sent a letter. I hope I don't get anything in the mail with OU letterhead. Best of luck. By the way, is anyone else out there applying to the University of Michigan Flint. They have a great program!

I wasn't aware of the phone notification method. Thanks for the info. If I see anything with "OU" on it when I get the mail, I'm not opening it. :uhoh3: Hell, I might not even open the mailbox all week! Good luck.
