just wondering what anyone is planning on doing for health coverage during school.. rates are quite expensive, much different than work paying for it ! my school offers insurance if i don't provide them with other coverage, which is not cheap either. has anyone heard of or used something called:

~ a health discount program; or

~ group medical association

any information is greatly appreciated !

thanks-

I know what you mean. I was looking for coverage and got tired of it so I just went with BCBS. Not the cheapest in the world but easy to get. I know some people can still pay their job as if they were taking it out of a check and pay what they were paying while still employed. Not sure how many hospitals offer this. I figure I will go ahead and get something now, and then when I hear what others in my class have done maybe switch later. I was going to get the coverage through the school, but dental wasn't included and just too many loop holes with it. They also didn't cover a lot of prescriptions. SO BCBS it was for me.

I went with my school's insurance. It is actually better coverage for less than my husband's insurance.

I got lucky. The schools offers better insurance, at a lower rate than what i was paying through my employer. they even offer it for my family of five!! WOW

Good Luck,

Brian
