Does anyone know what average GRE scores are for accepted applicants?

Do all schools publish this somewhere or just some?

Most schools list a preferred score and an absolute minimum. For example my school says 1000 or better but a 900 minimum with great GPA, interview, etc. I am unaware of a listing for averages. Most of the people in my class did make 1000 or better. I made an 1180 and was the 4th highest in my class.

Anyone out there. I'd love to know if GRE's of 1320 are good, really good, etc.

Yeah I have no idea that a "good" GRE score is. I got a 1200. . .

I'll have about 20 months ICU experience when/if I get in this year. I've applied with just over a year's experience. My nursing GPA is something like a 3.7. I have a previous BS degree too, GPA 3.2. . . wasn't quite as focused back then, ahem. I think my references were strong. I have no idea what my chances are. I figure worst case is I don't get an interview, in which case I'll call up the schools and say "Hi, I didn't make the cut this year. What do I need to do to be an excellent candidate next year?" I don't know anybody who is already in a CRNA program so I don't know how competitive I am.

Most schools I've looked at either say 1000 to be competitive or that they require a min of 500 verbal and 500 math. But let's admit it, we'd all like to have gotten a 1600 on the GRE :)

Average GRE Score

Students usually confuse Average GRE Score with Minimum GRE Score.

Universities usually post Average GRE Scores, but it will include all the departments and schools. So, you will need to find average GRE score for Nursing department. I doubt schools post such details per department.

Minimum GRE Score

Majority of the departments post minimum GRE score required for admission to Universities. Each department will have that details in admission requirements section, but some schools will not post minimun requiremets.

But, its not bad idea to get to know what is Averagre GRE Scores for different universities.

Hi Gluck,

I called Boston College and they told me that they were "looking for greater than 500 on each, and obiously the higher the better."

1320 is well above that.

1320 is really good. I think for CRNA programs, anything above ~1250-1300 is likely to significantly boost your application. >1300 may help an admissions committee forgive a number of "sins".
