  1. GRE is not difficult, spend 2-3 monts studying. It will take 1-2 weeks to get used to the exam pattern, then you will be fine. ALos, it depends on your educational background. Some are comfortable with maths, some are with verbal.
  2. Irs very hard to remember GRE Verbal words, but over time and practice, you can remember all the words. you can find words that were frequently asked in GRE. For examples, if you search online for 299 frequently asked words in GRE, Top 50 words or so, you can find some frequently asked verbal words. Alos, for math its depends on strategy and skills you get from practice exams. 2 months will be good time to get score abourt 1100.
  3. How long depends on how comfortable with your subjects. Here's some stesp to improve your GRE Exam score This is what you should do to improve your score. 1) There are lots of free online GRE practice Tests available. Take one of the test without any distractions and see how you score in Verbal and Quantitative. 2) For the questions you have answered wrong, make sure you find out why you selected the wrong answer and find how to solve it right. If you happen to learn a new formula or words, make a note of it. you could use a separate notebook, one for verbal and one for Maths. 3) In same time, spend at least 1 hour per day for GRE Vocabulary from Barron's GRE book. It has 50 Word Lists. Try to memorize 1 word list per week. So, every week you can read 50 to 100 new words. 4) Week 1 read the first word list, Week 2 revise the first word list and then start learning the Second Word List. So, that you will not forget the words. 5) Best way to remember new words is to form a sentence for each word. 6) Next, take an GRE Practice Test again and see how much you score, and for mistakes you make, again evaluate what went wrong. In this way, you will learn new maths formulas and at same time your score will increase month by month. 7) No need to worry that you are scoring less in GRE tests now, every student initially has the same problem. Spending atleast 1-2 hours per day for first 3 months from now will get you going. In 4-5 months time you will see huge difference in the score. 8) So, the key to improve your scores and skills is to practice daily and if you select a wrong answer in your practice test, make sure you find the right answer and how to find the right answer.
  4. There are lots of techniques available to prepare for GRE exam, if you start your preparation well in advance, then you can figure out which works best for you. Use atleast Kaplan, Barrons and ETS Big Book for getting to learn Verbal words, strategies and practice tests. ETS powerprer will give you exact score you will get in actual GRE. I came across this link, which might help you to estimate your score and some additional words. Good luck everyone.
  5. During actual exam students tend to be very cautious and time goes like that. Practice test we don't have much concern for score, but getting one question wrong in actual test can bring down your score. So, make sure you don't spend too much time in actual test with one question.
  6. I have never come across one place where exact tuition fees are listed. Tuition fees keep changing every semester and its very hard for any one website to list all the tuition fees for all colleges and all departments. Considering 1000's of colleges and universities are in U.S. Best way is to look at tuition fees by browsing at each university website.
  7. ETS Powerprep test score is the closest practice test you will ever get when preparing for GRE. In fact most of the students take ETS CD test 1 week before the actual GRE test date. Other practice test software scores doesn't use the same scoring pattern as in practice ETS Test.
  8. Best books to study for GRE Barrons - For exhaustive study materials and tough practice tests Nova GRE - For math problems GRE Verbal - Kaplan Strategies. Spend atleast 2-3 months for studying to improve your score.
  9. Average GRE Score Students usually confuse Average GRE Score with Minimum GRE Score. Universities usually post Average GRE Scores, but it will include all the departments and schools. So, you will need to find average GRE score for Nursing department. I doubt schools post such details per department. Minimum GRE Score Majority of the departments post minimum GRE score required for admission to Universities. Each department will have that details in admission requirements section, but some schools will not post minimun requiremets. Average GRE Scores for Universities But, its not bad idea to get to know what is Averagre GRE Scores for different universities. Good Luck everyone.
  10. I have seen many students ask, "Wat is Good GRE Score" for admission to U.S. Universities. Thats very general question, considering there are 1000's of colleges and universities in U.S.
