Hi everyone! I haven't seen a thread for USA's dual role FNP/AGACNP and thought it was about time we started one for all of us who have applied to the program for Fall 2016 entry. ;)

Applications were due on 3/15/16, so we should begin to hear back in roughly 8-10 weeks! Let's share our concerns and experiences here and maybe get a support group going once we get acceptance! Good luck to you all!

I missed the 3/15 deadline because my transcripts didn't make it to NursingCAS in time :( I applied for the spring 2017 but I'm seriously considering the Spring Arbor FNP program because I can start this July. I could always get the acute care cert later if I end up needing/wanting it. My backgroup is ICU, ER and flight nursing for the last 15 years. I really like critical care and ER so hopefully I can find something along those lines with the FNP. Best of luck on your admission!

I have also applied for the fall 2016 FNP program. Still have not heard of any letters being sent out as of now. has anyone else applied or heard of any updates and when?

From what I've read, it'll be 8-10 weeks from the admission deadline date (3/15) before they let you know. Good luck and let us know how it works out. I applied for the spring 2017 so I'd love to hear how that first semester goes if you get in. What's your background and plans?

In one of the other threads I was reading the FALL 2016 DNP acceptance letters are going out today! So I wonder if that is the case for all FALL 2016 programs?

That would be so nice. But for some reason I can't imagine us being that lucky!

I know in years past the DNP letters go out before the MS letters.

@flymedicRN24,

How did your friend like the program? I'm assuming he or she didn't have too many negative comments if you decided to apply? Give us the details! :)

Still no word on acceptance as of yet but it's still too soon.

There were normal typical issues I think from any school. Given the opportunity to go there again, she would. She feels confident, but there was a significant amount of self learning.

Hey everyone, I called USA's nursing office today and acceptance/rejection letters were mailed out today! Good luck to us all!
