USA Dual Role Fall 2016

Hi everyone! I haven't seen a thread for USA's dual role FNP/AGACNP and thought it was about time we started one for all of us who have applied to the program for Fall 2016 entry.

Applications were due on 3/15/16, so we should begin to hear back in roughly 8-10 weeks! Let's share our concerns and experiences here and maybe get a support group going once we get acceptance! Good luck to you all!

I have started all the paperwork under the Summer 2016 Cohort. CastleBranch informed me that it was ok to start now. They will move me to the correct cohort when added. You may all want to call them to have them add a work order as I did so that there will be a transition once our cohort it up. I am not sure if it will happen automatically without a work order.

I am glad that I came here! I am in the ACNP program for Fall 2016. It looks like Castle Branch might have updated to reflect the Fall 2016 cohort. I have heard that USA is not really helpful in finding preceptors and it is delayed until there are no slots. There are always too few acute preceptors in my area as is! Could you reach out to preceptors now? I just don't want to be up a creek!
