    Hello, Everyone!

Officially applied to the midwife track! I'm so nervous, I sent my entire application via mail and I didn't overnight it, it's supposed to get there on the 25th. I don't know why, but I'm superrrr nervous.

Don't be, everything is going to be alright! You're a very good applicant! Good luck!

Thanks! I've been following this for a bit now, I noticed that you were having some difficulty with your letter of intent. Are you in a good place with it now?

Thanks for asking! I am still working on it. I asked a good friend who's a PhD to review it for me and we both agree that the first page is great, has a lot of impact, but the second one I lost my mojo. It's a good second page, but it pales in comparison with the first one. My last paragraph definitely could be better.

Oh, yes. I'm sure it's great but you always want to make it better if you can. I had the same problem, and getting everything into two pages was quite the challenge. Good luck!

    Thanks, you too!

Not sure why I'm spacing out on this one, but it is corret that we had the option of collecting the letters of recs from the recommenders then sending them together with the rest of the material, right?

I am not sure. Usually, you're not supposed to see the letters, are they in a sealed envelope?
  9. by NursePracHereIcome
yes. completely sealed. I think when i called to ask, they said it was ok so long as it was sealed with a signature across the back

I hope so. Ever since I mailed it I've been on edge wondering if everything was included and done RIGHT.

heheheh, I know that feeling. It's going to be a really long couple months until we start hearing from them.

Just finished applying to another program, and unfortunately I ended up liking its letter of intent a little more than the one for SU. SU is really my number one choice but of course I'm applying to a few others as back-up. Bummer.
