NP Certification Prep Options

I am finishing up my FNP program this April and would like to start prepping. I hear a lot of students go to LIVE exam preps including Fitzgerald and or Barcleys. These programs are pretty pricey and far from where I live. Overall, if needed, I will attend such review, but what did you guys do to pass and prepare?

I am taking the AANP exam and have a couple review books that will be studying.

Suggestions, advice, tips, hints?

Also. What would be the best way to avoid any delays for testing as soon as possible and also obtaining DEA and such to start practiting as soon as possible? I live in California and as mentioned, my program ends in April with graduation in first week of May.

Thanks in advance,

Eddie

My university encourages us to start while we are still in school, and recommend any of the review systems that we like the best. I bought the Barclay CD set off of Amazon and I listen to them while commuting, because I'm on the road a lot. It seems to be helping, because I'm retaining a lot of info from them.

Other students will attend reviews and several buy the Liek books and we use them to run test questions by each other. The Fitzgerald review seems to be the most attended course among the students in my class.

I too had to consider travel and money...did my reviews online and used a ton of the resources you will find in the posts here on AN. I passed on the first pass, so it worked well for me. Good luck!
