Any suggestions on a program that you are enrolled in and or have completed that you enjoyed. There are so many out there to choose from and I'm getting overwhelmed. Please help, thanks!!!

Have you made a list of what you want out of a program? Maybe that would help you to narrow down your choices?

What are you looking for? What do you want in a program? I had a few things I wanted and have a notebook of info from the schools I contacted. I needed one that wanted my BSN GPA instead of my cumulative, then marked off those that did not meet what I was seeking. The first thing to do is list what it is you want in a program. I was pleased with my choice.

I agree with PP that you need to make a list of what you want in a school. I knew that length of program, ability to complete online, exam pass rate, school reputation were important and pretty much in that order. I chose Thomas Jefferson University as it was only 36 credit hours, could be completed in a year and a half, great exam pass rate, and i could complete it online with the exception of only 2 trips to campus. I did have to locate my own preceptors and somewhat pricey but i completed it in 18 months and passed my boards a few weeks ago without a problem. I was very adequately prepared for clinical rotation and ancc board exam. It is a rigorous program but i survived working part time and having my first baby right in the middle of the program. Its worth looking into.

Daniellebrown; I feel the same lol. I have read multiple threads here, then I will research the school and back to the threads. I made a list of at least 15 schools then had columns and I will check for ; online/gre/gpa/cost/preceptors/# campus visits/ratings.

How did you find ratings of the schools?

Hello uronurse1,

I am hoping to attend TJU in the fall of 2016 and would love to hear more about your experience with the university. I will be enrolling in their FNP program as well. Do you think it is possible to work full-time for at least the first year and a half of the program? This would be with me attending TJU part-time, which would take 3 years to complete. I would love to enroll full-time but I think it would be more realistic for me to enroll part-time and continue to work full-time. Any advice you could provide for me would be greatly appreciated.

Ive just finished sort of with this process. Things I looked for were costs, location, requirements of online school such as do they require any campus visits, length of stay, admission requirements(gpa). I actually made a chart to compare different schools then selected the top 3.

Your comment is probably the most information I have found about TJU's MSN program. I am also looking into their program for Acute Care NP. I know you did FNP, but how were the online classes for you? Were you scheduled for an interview before being accepted and when did you hear anything from the school? I would appreciate any information or advice you have.
