I have applied for FNU Class 146, and now I am in the waiting game to see if I get accepted. I know they tell you they let you know 6-8 weeks before Frontier Bound date, but I was wondering if they do let you know earlier? What has others experienced? Is there anyone else waiting? Thanks everyone!!!

Yes! Glad someone posted because I was thinking about doing so today! I have applied for FNU 146 and am waiting as well. I applied for CFNP, what did you apply for? I have several colleagues that are currently attending FNU and they all have told me that they stick to the 6-8 week rule about notifying, sometimes even closer to the FB date! Also, sometimes the people that end up being waitlisted can be pulled off and accepted up to only a week or even less before FB (I know, yikes). So I was told to be prepared for FB with time off, finances (fees for FB), family arrangements, and arrangements to stay there before even hearing word on acceptance or not because of how FNU tends to be with waiting so long. I am excited and this long wait I know will be nerve wrecking haha. I plan to start checking my email the first week of December and on from there. Best of luck, hopefully more that applied for class 146 will be chiming in!

I also applied for FNU class 146. Glad someone posted about it. I have talked to a few nurses that have gone to FNU and they told me the same thing that they stick pretty close to the 6-8 week mark of notifying. So I guess we all must sit and wait. Good luck to you guys. Hope to see you at FB.

Good luck to you as well! Yup, now it's just a waiting game and I hope to see you all at FB! What track did you apply to?

Just bumping this, I know it's still early, but was seeing if there were any others who applied for this class.

I have applied also :) patience is so hard! Does anyone know what our start date would be if we get in? I heard the feb 15 frontier bound date, the first day of class isn't really until April. I applied for FNP! Talk to y'all soon

Ldelco,

Awesome! Yes, this waiting game is not very easy! I am hoping we hear from them by early December, but we'll see. FB is Feb 15-18 and the first day of classes begins on April 4. :) Best of luck!

I've applied as well! FNP track! Does anyone know if we will have interviews? I thought I read that somewhere but there was no mention of it in the "just wait" email I got.

If I get in, I'll have my newborn (who will be 4 months old at the time) and my MIL with me at FB, which sounds crazy :). Would any of you have babies with you?

I hope they don't wait too long...flights just get more and more pricy, don't they??

Jessica,

There are no interviews anymore. Congrats on your new baby!! Is this your first baby? My kids are school age and I sometimes wish they were little again, they grow up so fast! I agree that flight prices definitely do start getting more and more expensive, I have to fly as well. Where are you flying out of? From what I've read here on forums and from what colleagues who go there have told me, Frontier is known for sometimes waiting until what can seem like the "last minute", which worries me as well, but I hope we hear sooner rather than later. :)

This baby is my second! My first is 2.5 and it will be sad to leave him behind! We'd be flying out from Phoenix, what about you? The tickets were a lot of money last time I checked. We may end up flying to a different airport for a lot less and driving down to the campus, depending on how brave we are. It's crazy trying to plan all this without knowing for sure if we actually have to use the plan or not!

That's great that you know people who have gone through it! I have one person I know who just graduated but I really haven't asked her too many questions.

I will be flying out of the central New York area. I am not looking forward to seeing how much the tickets are if it gets down to the wire haha. I looked the other day and it varied from 344 to 525 depending on the site. Right now there are 4 colleagues that are enrolled at Frontier, which is nice because they let me know what to expect with the school and classes. One thing that was mentioned to me was that if someone plans of driving there in the winter to make sure they have four wheel drive because of the terrain and location of the school (very rural, with mountains, etc).

I have applied to 146, also. I'm so excited I can barely stand it. Anyone from Louisiana or close to? Does anyone know if they extended our deadline or closed it early? I'm curious if we have a small or large applicant pool. Good luck to everyone!

P.S. I'm new to allnurses so if I post something crazy, tell me and I'll try to fix it.
