FNP Angelo State University

Has anyone applied to the Angelo State University FNP program that has been accepted and can give me some feedback as to how hard it is to be accepted. I just applied for the fall 2016 cohort and i'm nervous.

Yes. I also applied at Texas State University, which is the St. David's School of Nursing, and at Texas A&M International University in my Hometown of Laredo, Texas. Fingers crossed. How did you send your Reference Letters. Did you email them to the Admissions committee or are your References going to mail it via ground mail. Let me know please. What is your GPA and how many years experience do you have and where have you worked. Thanks

For Angelo State, I sent my letters of recommendation via the internet; the peeps I received recommendations from uploaded their letters and sent it via online. And my GPA, it is not so great. I have a 3.2, but hopefully with good letters and a good essay - I'll be fine. I also have awards/honors, community service, am on committees and in organizations. So hopefully - they don't only look at GPA as the sole decision maker. I am quite nervous about that. I really want to get into ASU. And I've been a RN for 3.5 years. I have worked on a critical care and med-surg unit; I am currently in the Operating Room. What about yourself?

Very impressive....my Overall GPA is a 3.39 and I've worked telemetry only for 13 years. I do not have any community service or are part of committees. I wish I would have some ICU experience under my belt but i don't. About those letters of recommendation, are my peeps suppose to just whip something up on word and email it to them?... If so, What email do they send it to?....I really appreciate your help and thanks for sharing. I'm glad i bumped into someone on here. It's good support. I really wish you the best..

Telemetry is great! And you have so much experience, which is awesome. Have you submitted your ASU application? If so, where?

I did it through http://www.applytexas.org It was a little confusing because the hyperlink that the ASU website has is not to helpful or is not working properly. I think they might have a glitch of some sort. So you haven't applied?...by the way my name is Ambrosio...or people call me Ambrose...

I applied to Texas State and Angelo State University. I was accepted into both MSN-FNP programs. I chose Texas State.
