Fitzgerald Review Course

During RN school, I found my NCLEX review course extremely helpful and felt like the test taking strategies would have been helpful at the beginning instead of at the end. Now I am about to start graduate school and have read on these boards about the Fitzgerald Review Course. I was wondering if those of you who have taken it would have found it helpful before you started your NP program?

Specializes in Family Nurse Practitioner.

Although I have a great respect for Margret Fitzgerald there is no way I would have invested the time or money on anyone's review course before starting the program. As with my undergraduate programs I did purchase a review book and use it to supplement my learning while in the program.

Specializes in Peri-op/Sub-Acute ANP.

I second what JulesA says. Particularly at the start of the program you will have your hands full with taking on a lot of new knowledge and review courses will just add to the feeling of being overwhelmed. However, I would consider buying a used version of the CDs and review book to help me during the latter semesters when you have clinicals. This will help you get up to speed quickly with lab interpretation and some of the day-to-day things that I felt my program didn't cover adequately.

Thanks guys. That was exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for.
