Can I get into an NP Program with a 3.5?

I am graduating my nursing program this May. At best, I'll have a 3.51, at worst, around a 3.4. Can I still be accepted into an NP program later on if I decide to go? Or would it be wise for me to pursue an MSN-Ed and use that GPA and some of those classes to "bridge" to an FNP program?

Honey as sad as it makes me, if you can pay the tuition, you can get into a NP program. Your GPA is decent btw. :)

A 3.4 or 3.5 GPA is fine. Most NP programs have a 3.0 minimum requirement for admissions. However, admissions is based on a number of factors and GPA is just one of them. Make a list of NP schools you are interested in and go look at their websites for admissions requirements. Good luck.

3.5 is good enough for almost all the good schools out there, as long as your statement is good and you have good references you should not have an issue. I had a 3.5 and was admitted to all the schools I applied to on the first try and they are all good brick and mortar programs.

To clarify, my overall GPA is a 3.5. My nursing GPA is lower. I missed two A's in nursing school by 1 - 2 points, so my GPA could have been a lot higher, but I can't change the past. Thank you for your supportive comments. This makes me a lot more relaxed and confident. Luckily, I am graduating with no debt because of scholarships.

To further clarify, I am getting a BSN at 23.

I had no idea you can get an NP after getting a BSN , I wish you good luck thanks for asking this question I was very curious to ask this .

You apply to an MSN/NP program, in which you can sit for the exam for your NP.

Thank you for wishing me good luck, I wish you luck in your educational endeavors as well. :)
