Obscene Phone Calls

I have my office phone and a cell phone provided by work. My cell phone remains off most days, since I am in the office and I do not get a cell phone signal in there (after an hour my battery dies from roaming).

I noticed a phone call last night from "restricted". When I got off work today, I had a voicemail. It could have been from the restricted phone call (sometimes it takes a long time to get my messages), or it could have been a call while my phone was off.

Oh my goodness, it was obscene. It makes me sick to my stomach. I listened all the way through to figure out if I could figure out who it is. I feel sick to my stomach. It takes A LOT to make me feel this way, but this has me unnerved.

I can't figure out who to contact. Local police? Which town? I live in one city and work in two others (based in one but work in another). It's restricted, so I have no idea how to trace it.

What's worse?

I think it was a student. I don't give my cell number out to students. When I mail letters home, it has the office phone number on it (although if you listen all the way through my work cell number is listed on the voicemail message). There is no way for me to trace missed calls in the office, or to even see if there are any unless they leave a message.

I'll talk to my bosses tomorrow and see what they want me to do in terms of reporting it, but I am also going to bug them to change my cell number. I got a call about an hour ago from a restricted number, and I swear I am on the verge of a panic attack. No message was left, but who knows- it could be like the other message and I not get it until later.

I don't know if I need advice, a hug, or just to get this typed out. I want my husband home from work so I can take some medicine and go to bed.

You should file a school incident report and a police report. It could happen again, and you will want a record.

I am sorry this happened to you, it would bother me very much also.

Something similiar happened to me and I agree its very creepy.

Long story short I called my bank to make an over the phone transaction, the man helping me used my cell number for personal reasons .

Later I got a text from Mr. x saying I sounded good on the phone and he thought my voice was sexy thus I must be beautiful. He wanted me to call him and he sent me about 5 messages.

I ignored them all and called his boss first thing in the morning.

Its creepy when someone uses your number for personal gain. Yuk !
