Health Office Anywhere Problems

For those of you that use Health Office Anywhere...

Is it normal for there to be such a lag time? We just switched to this from the "old" Health Master that wasn't web based. It seems when you open anything, whether it be an office visit or a vision screening, the little circle goes around and around before loading, then after choosing a template it does it again. Seems like such wasted time! I spoke to HOA support and they said there is no lag on their end..so it must be our server. BUT every other website works just fine.

Anyone else have this experience with HOA?

i get a bit of the blue circle spinning - just checked on my last kid - maybe about 2 seconds while it was thinking bringing the kid's name up. then about 2 seconds to apply my personal template. Then about 5 seconds when i finished to save and close the student.

Thank you for the input...it seems so slow compared to the old program that wasn't web based. But I guess it isn't just our system!

they've had a few more issues this year that i've had to call tech support about - i think the last update was not their best work.

As I sit here documenting on my day off because this product has become so incredibly slow the past 60 days I get more angry.  It is not enough that I work without breaks as a nurse, but I am then expected to spend the time I should be using to recuperate from my week to finish my work.  I have contacted our schools IT staff and been told that everything on our end is functioning fine, but it is Frontline's issue that is causing the slow down.  I see more students in 7 hours that I would triage in 12 hours at our local emergency room.  That coupled with the fact that I cannot complete the documentation because of the slow response of this system causes me to have to work evenings and weekends to complete my documentation.  One would think that in the evenings and on the weekends the speeds would improve, but it is still slow in the evenings and weekends.  I am thoroughly fed up with this system.  It should never take almost 2 minutes for any system to find one student out of my 380.  They should be ashamed at the increase stress and effort staff have to endure to use a product we have to pay for.

This is intolerable. I think I would switch to paper charting for encounters at that rate. An incredibly quick SOAP note would do for most encounters. You might even be able to create some templates for common issues. I'm sorry you have to deal with that....

honestly, I dropped HOA when Frontline took them over - so probably about 2 years ago.  Once Frontline took control, the product really went downhill.  I just use the medical portion of the attendance and scheduling program.  It's not as good as HOA was a few years ago, but I can make it work without cursing at it.
