Help me with college choice!!

Nursing Students ADN/BSN

Published

Hi everyone! I was admitted to ASA Nursing program and recently found out that I also admitted to BMCC. I'm trying to make a choice: what college is better for me. Definitely, BMCC has strong reputation and at this point is more preferable, but ASA program is only 1.5 year compare to BMCC 2,5 years and the tuition is practically the same. And I'm in my thirties and have a family, so for me time is precious and if I go to BMCC I have to be an extra year in college. On the other hand, all reviews about BMCC were positive and I can't tell the same about ASA. I'm just wondering if anyone will be able to help me with an advice.

I'd post in your state's forum. I have never heard of those programs

What level are these programs? ADN/ASN, BSN??? LPN? Are they both the same level? Do you receive any form of financial aid? You should take a tour of both schools and talk to the advisers for both programs. Get all your concerns for the next possible 3 years and write them so you can ask both places what you want to know to help narrow it down. I could have gone to a BSN school but chose an ADN because its closer, cheaper, and I plan to bridge once i get a job that will fund my bridge :) It fit my situation better, so go with what is best for your situation! Best wishes :)
