Nursing Students ADN/BSN

Help guys!! I am a Diploma RN with 3 yrs college and I want to get my BSN to then do a NP program. What is the BEST ONLINE RN to BSN you guys know of. I am looking at time consumption and ease of use. There are a million out there. Thanks SMILES 04:)

You might also want to ask the MSN/NP program that you want to attend which online BSN programs they recommend. It would be a shame to spend the $$ and time for an online BSN program if it was not well regarded by the grad program you want.

Check out the Ohio University RN-to-BSN program on their website (Ohiouonlinebsn.info). I am starting the program in February. There are many nurses where I work going to school and this is one of the main programs. It is a great school that has been around a long time, is entirely online with NO CLINICAL time, and the price can't be beat...$5850! Of course the price does not include books and such but still, I have not seen a program come close to this price from a reputable University, and I've checked out a lot of programs. Everyone in the program tells me it's great. Hope this helps.

glneo,

had a quick question the price $5850 is per semester? year? credits...sorry im also looking to do my rn to bsn but there is so much info out there its brain overload.

thanks

The $5850 is the total for all the nursing classes required. So if you only need the nursing classes then this is the total cost for the entire progran, plus books. If you need any other classes that either didn't transfer or you have not taken yet then the cost will be higher. It is still a great price though at only $117/credit hour. Go to their website that I listed in the original reply to this post and check it out. I think you'll be hard pressed to find a more convenient, low cost BSN. The only thing I don't like is the classes are on quaters not semesters. This may pose a problem with transfer credits down the road if going to the MSN at another university. Hope this helps!

i started the RN to BSN program at Ohio Univ in Jan and i love it. The classes only last 5 weeks which i love. You cannot beat the price, so affrodable. I get back $3000 tuition reimbursement from my job, so by the time i am done this will be close to free. Loving every minute of it.

I'm also curious about getting my RN-BSN online. Do employers frown on online programs? Are they more impressed with a traditional college setting? I was thinking about going back to school in the summer or fall.
