If that question is geared towards me, I just want to save lives and help people without going a 6 year route thru medical school. Plus there is alot more stability. Being 30 and with all that i've already accomplished in my career, layoffs still got the best of me so I am doing my EMT-Basic (2 weeks from testing) and to further my education in healthcare an RN degree would be the best option.

I've been looking at Samuel Merritt ABSN, and it costs 52K, plus there are more prerequisites than other programs. So I'm kind of debating still.

I am the exception that proves the rule. I worked overnights .8 and attended school during the day. I can't say that I would do that with a young child in the home.

Taking your prereqs and applying for an ADN program would allow you to start NS about the time your child enters kindergarten which would make school much easier to coordinate.
