BA to BSN-how to

Hi, I'm new to this forum having recently decided that I wish to pursue a career in nursing. I graduated 10+ years ago with a BA and have been researching the best way to go about taking my nursing prerequisites. From what I've read, the best way to go about this (least expensive) is at a community college. I have 2 questions that I can't seem to figure out. Would I take these classes as a visiting student? Secondly, I would like to take less than 4 years to complete my BSN. Any advice? Thank you for any help!!

Yes you can prob take the classes as a "non degree" student. This sometimes varies from program to program. As far as the time it depends on how many prereqs you need. A traditional BSN will be 5-6 semesters of nursing classes. An accelerated program is anywhere from 16-22 months of nursing classes depending on the program.

I think some ABSN programs give access to your missing classes concurrently unless you have NO sciences. I am in an RN-BSN program and even with a previous BS and my ADN, they keep finding new classes that I "need". I have been able to pick up some of them at the CC I went to with a "special student" status.
