At-home RN work?

Nursing Students ADN/BSN

I need a break from working at hospitals. Too much politics. I would love to do any kind of work from my home office. I've heard of triage work from home and some insurance-type of work. But I want to know what other nurses have to say about it. Which companies do they recommend? Hours do not bother me. Any shift works.

Health first. Aetna. Just to name a few. I've never done it. However, I see a lot of telecommuter positions with these companies. I don't know if they are available in your state.

My sis in TX works from home as case manger. I envy her. I wish they have something like that in NY

The 'work from home' nursing jobs I am familiar with don't pay very much. They don't have to, because nurses are clamoring for them. These jobs are highly regimented - supervisor monitoring everything - and require absolute adherence to established policies. Any deviation is cause for termination. Salary is likely to be tied to volume of work. These are not jobs that can be done while taking care of small kids &/or surfing the shopping channel.

Really? Cool am gonna check it out. Thanks

Center light wants BSN. If you go to either website, look for telecommuter jobs. You can google it also.
