    Update: I got the job! However, I'm not going to be able to accept it. The compensation package is so low I would have to move to a rooming house to do it! The annual salary offered was $55,800 that would be HUGE paycut! No can do. Oh well, I'll keep looking!

    Unfortunately public health nursing tends to pay much less than hospital nursing. I work in public health and nurses who work in public health love the job -it's definitely not for the high wages.

    Update#2: I have just submitted an additonal app for a PH position which is closer to where I live. The good thing about this is that, someone that I currently work with knows the DON and can put in a good word for me. Now if this one offers me a position, although the pay may be less than what I'm used to, I'm going to take it, because, it's closer to home. Pray for me!
