congratulations!!!!:yelclap:

Specializes in SICU, PACU, Public health.

Congratulations!!! I just started a month ago....and am overwhelmed!!! In a good way though....There is so much to learn but everyone is patient and really the only stress is being able to manage the computer and billing codes, etc. That will come second hand eventually. Giving little kids shots is about the only thing I don't like, but you would be crazy if you said you enjoyed that part LOL

Good luck. You will be learning a lot!!!

I know it's been several months....Congratulations!!!:monkeydance:

so how long were you in the hospital setting???? And do you like community????

This part is to all who post.......

I actually need some direction......I am a community health nurse, I graduated in june and started the job in august.....I love my job but feel I need to utilize nursing skills that I can only do in a hospital setting. I interviewed for a hospital job today....and I think I will be offered the position. Great I know...but why do I feel torn.......I really do not want to leave my community setting...but feel that I am not challenged. The hospital position pays well and is 30 mins away by car. The community position is 10 mins away by subway and is 9-5..no weekends....the hospital is 3-11:30pm and e/o w/e. I do have a soon to be 16 year old daughter........what do I do????????

Orientation is 6-8wks and longer if you need it.
