Prescriptive Authority

Does anyone know where I can take the three required courses to gain Presciptive Authority? I live in Houston, Texas. I am a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Thankyou for your time.

Which courses do you need? I would think advanced pharm., advanced physical assessment, but what else? You didn't have those in the classes you took for your CNS? I needed an up to date advanced pharm class and went back to my university and asked if I could do something in independent study. It worked out wonderfully

I would check specifically with the Board of Nursing in your state. They will be able to give you the list of exact courses that you need and which ones will meet their requirements.
