Any LVN's in psych??

thanks for responding. its amazing that there are no other lvn's in psych. (or were as in your case)anyways......

I just wanted to get an idea of the day shift for an lvn in psych. I start next week, and all I know is that I'm passing lots and lots of meds.

if you remember your psych days i'd like to hear it, but if you don't remember then don't worry about it. I guess i'll find out on my own very soon. :)

Congratulations on your new job! At my facility LPNs do basically the same thing as RNs which includes admissions, charting, counseling, groups and meds. I did a rotation through school where the LPNs did mostly meds though. Even if you are doing mostly meds you should still have a decent opportunity to get to know and interact with the clients which to me is the best part. Good luck and keep us posted.
