what i should do after I am done with all my pre-requisite

hello every one, I am a pre-nursing student and I am almost done with all my pre-requisite that i prepare for a program that i try to apply next year. However there is still one year left before i really can sit in the class for the nursing school .

What do you recommend me to do for the year? I am doing some volunteer jobs now but that is just not enough. Can i do sth else related to medical in order to get more experience? I have thought about CNA and possibly will jump into the training this Oct. but i will only be able to find jobs in late this year or early next year.... What about doctor's office ? Where can I find such information ?
