UTA ONLINE- need advice on pre-reqs

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

So I just have 5 pre-req classes left and have registered to take them at my community college online for spring 2018. From Jan- March I have: A&P I and sociology, then March- May I have technical writing and microbiology, along with chemistry which is the full 16 weeks Jan- May. I know its a lot but I need it done so I can send in my nursing application in June.

Also, I have taken A&P I before but had to drop it and I got a C in A&P II. I was working full time and taking four other courses, but now I am a SAHM.

Well one of the nursing advisors suggested that instead of micro I should redo A&P II for a better grade then just do micro over the summer and the pre-nursing courses in the fall. By doing that I could potentially have a 4.0 on science instead of 3.5. (assuming I can make As in the remaining sciences)

That is a good plan but I don't want to redo a class if I don't have to because classes are expensive! I would rather just knockout all the pre-reqs now so I can focus on the pre-nursing classes over the summer/fall to get in for Spring 2019.

What would you do in this situation? Redo A&P II or just keep the C and hope to still get accepted in the nursing program?
