TEAS Timing

I'm trying to figure out the best timing for my TEAS test. I'm one semester down for my prerequisites. I have taken Chemistry, and next semester I'm scheduled for basic intro biology and a Lifespan Development class. Then I plan to take Microbiology this summer, and then A&P I this fall, and A&P II next spring.

Does anyone have a recommendation for when to schedule that test, and about how long should I study and prepare for it?

My prior background in school was over ten years ago, and I am very strong in grammar/English, weaker in math, and need some brushing up on my sciences.

Thanks for any input!

I'm pretty sure you need to take the teas test the same year you apply. At least in my state the test score expires every year, so the program I was applying to allowed me to take the test a month after applying to the program.

Take it during the summer after A&P ll so that you'll be ready to apply during the fall of 2017 for spring of 2018. Also, that way, all the material will be fresh in your head. That is assuming your desired school is open to applicants during the spring. In my state, actually the TEAs is valid up to 3 years for some schools. Besides that, they recommend at least a month to study but I only studied for 2.5 weeks (everyday, 8 hours/day) after my summer class and I did fine. Make sure to do well the first time so you don't have to keep retaking; some schools only accept the first score so be aware of the policies your school has towards TEAs.
