Stony Brook Basic BSN Class of 2018

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hey Everyone,

Now that the deadline for the class of 2018 Basic BSN program at Stony Brook University is coming up, I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to and for all applicants. I hope there isn't already a thread made already because I searched thoroughly but could not find one. If you have any questions or just want to talk feel free to comment. Best of luck to all of you on your applications!

Hey I also applied, it's crazy how long we have a wait, and I found out that we still need an interview that's the first step.

Commented on the other thread you posted! I applied two days ago... Hopefully the applicant pool for basic bsn is smaller than the applicant pool for stony's accelerated.

Hello all!

My name is Danielle and I recently received my Associate's degree from Nassau Community College. I'm at LIU Post for their cohort Nursing program, but it will take an additional 4 years. I would love to be accepted into SBU for Nursing!

Where is everyone transferring from?

Hi Dani, I also graduated from NCC, but I did so in the Fall. I decided to stay and complete Chemistry as a non-matriculated student.

Good luck everyone! I applied also and would love to be accepted :) fingers crossed.

I received my Bachelors from New Paltz 4 years ago and decided to go back to school. I'm currently taking pre-req classes at Suffolk Community College.

I love it there! Who do you have for chem? I decided to go back this semester to take some classes. LIU Post is too expensive and I can't commit to 4 years there.

Ok. I'm taking Chem this semester. Still don't know who's the professor yet. What are you taking? I didn't want to go to a four year also, I love NCC!! I'm really just hoping to get into SBU. They told me I could declare a second major but idk.

I took Chem last year. I had this older Italian guy... he was great! I can't remember his name though. I'm taking Pathophysiology, German, History of Rock, and a Finance class. I needed to be a full time student because I'm doing Army ROTC this semester. Hopefully if I get into SBU they can accept the patho class!

Hi guys, I applied late December. I just had my interview a few days ago... Will have to wait another 6-8 weeks until they're done interviewing :x

How did your interview go? I have mine tomorrow! Was the math difficult?
