The semester's wrapping up, how did you do? What's next?

I took two finals yesterday. In lifespan development I only needed a 75% to get an A on the class and I ended up with a 97% :) In intro psych I only needed about a 40% so I didn't study and got a 90% anyway. All that's left is human bio on Monday, which I only need a 50% in. Really glad I kept up through the term so that finals are pretty stress free!

I don't think I've ever gotten straight As. Ever. Sometimes pretty good grades, but never straight As. Much more motivated now that there is a lot on the line!

Looking forward to the break, going to get some wedding planning done, working, and will be seeing my fiance's family and then my own. Over the break I plan to start studying for A&P since it's a tough class.

My A&P instructor also gives a little award each semester to whoever gets the highest grade. I want that! I need to start thinking about who to ask for letters of recommendation. I will also be taking a CNA class at the community college, medical terminology (online), cpr/first aid (which I've taken for work but not with the first aid >:( ), and yoga just to bump me up to 12 credits.

Good day:

This was my second semester of working on my prerequisites for a RN program after starting in the summer; this is a complete career change for me, and it has been the first time going back to school in 25 years.

This semester, which ended well involved taking Anatomy and Physiology I, Basic Microbiology, Intermediate Algebra, and Introduction to Sociology. Early January starts the spring semester where I will be taking Anatomy and Physiology II, Life Cycle Development, Microbiology (the more advanced version compared to Basic), and Nutrition.

If all goes well, I will be in a RN nursing program come August 2014 with an anticipating graduation date in mid to late 2016.

Congrats on a job well done! I graduated with my ADN in May and have been taking classes ever since toward the co-req's of the RN-BSN program. Between summer and now I have taken human phys, genetics, world history, US history, statistics, and Sociology: changing gender roles (the last 4 listed were the classes I took this semester). They were all VERY difficult and time consuming classes, and I ended up getting all A's even though I had a lot going on in my home life and didn't think that I would be able to pull it off, they were all very challenging classes, which is what makes them so rewarding. My prospective has completely changed due to these classes- never underestimate the requirement for non-nursing classes!

Congrats! Must have felt good going into finals knowing that the bare minimum you had to have was a failing grade to keep your A! It was like that for all of my classes but one but I still happened to pull an A. First time I have made straight A's in a long time.

During break I will be getting my nursing school application together to turn in before Spring '14 semester starts. As for next semester, I will be running around like crazy until I get an acceptance or rejection letter from the school I'm applying to.

Personally, I did well, entering my final semester of my program, and CANNOT WAIT to start my preceptorship! :)

I just finished lifespan developmental psych and got an A which is great since I got 2 As in prereq so far (in the Spring semester I took psych 101 and got an A as well). In the Spring 2014 I will be taking A&P and I am a bit nervous since it has been years since I took a natural science course and its online (which I heard is harder) but fortunately I am only taking one class at a time.

Congrats on the good grades!! This was my last semester of pre-reqs. I took gen/bio/organic chem, statistics, A&P II plus lab, Spanish, and African American culture. I start my BSN program January 6 :) our program is a set schedule that we have to follow, so I'm taking pathophysiology, nursing research, nursing concepts, nursing assessment, and nursing interventions. I also have 2 labs per week and I'm not sure about clinical yet. I'm so excited!!
