San Francisco State University BSN Fall 2010

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Ok, let us get real. We all know that since the past years, SFSU has been one of the toughest BSN schools in the Bay Area to get in. I mean 1200+ applicants for a mere 80 spots. Along side with 3.7+ prereq GPA and at least 2/3 supplementary criteria.

Is anyone considering, applying, or thinking of applying to SFSU for the Fall 2010? Would you not mind sharing your stats? Whether Cohort, CaƱada, or all those other SFSU BSN programs.

I'm opening this thread for us to share the joy, the pain, the fear, the torture, the relief, and every odd emotion that makes us want to get in. Also to share about experiences, small chats, and the ability to make new friends.

I turned my application in and I am going nuts not hearing if they have my application or not yet. I sent my application packet via mail with my supplementary documents on Monday the 5th and I have heard nothing...

Here are my stats, I hope yours is better too so you may have a batter chance to get in:

overall college GPA is a 3.77, prereq GPA is a 3.81 (I have 2 more prereqs in-progress this semester, physiology and anatomy), supplementary criteria is 3/3. SFSU is in my top 3 choices.

Specializes in Surgical/Trauma ICU.

No need to worry about me. 3.5 in prereqs 2/3 sup. No way I'll get in but I'm already applying to the University because I might go part time if I don't get into NS for Fall and since it doesn't cost extra... wala.

Good Luck to you though. Someone with a shot at getting in. Hope you got some backups though, SF state is a tease.

Thanks, I wish you the best out there too! Yea, I've read from previous posts that SFSU is an odd ball.

It's my #3 school. I'm hoping for either Cal State Bakersfield or Humboldt State for spring 2010, but SFSU is cool too I guess.

Specializes in Surgical/Trauma ICU.

Yeah, my top choice is Long Beach. I'm also applying to a bunch of ADN programs too just incase. I might retake the teas again though because it counts a lot for CSULB and I got an 88 overall and 100 on math (both of which they look at equally), so I want to try and raise my overall score. We'll see. Stress stress stress :smackingf

Good Luck
