Pre-Requisites in Southern California

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hello,

I finally decided to post a few questions on here after going back and forth between the idea of going to nursing school. It was a dream of mine many years ago but life happened and things did not go according to plan. Correct me if I am wrong but it is my understanding that all prerequisite courses do not expire unless they are a science course and because my science courses have "expired" I do need to take them again. So here is my question, are there any weekend classes that are offered for micro, anatomy or physio in the southern ca? I'm looking into Orange or LA county schools for possible weekend course options. Also, if there aren't schools that offer a weekend option, are there any cc's that are easy to enroll into for prerequisite courses since I do know how difficult/competitive it can be for students. I do already have a BS in another field and I think that usually gets you on the bottom of priority listing so if I can get any help in finding cc's that would be great.

Thank you in advance!

I took my prerequisites at Pasadena City College. The science classes are kind of hard to get into during the semester. I had to take anatomy in the summer and physiology in the winter session. I'm not sure if they offer weekend classes for them, at least in Pasadena.

Thanks for the reply!

I was looking into PCC but just a little too far up North. I was also debating on ELAC because I know they have weekend classes.
