I was just curious to the people in here that have, or are currently taking those classes. I do have to work- 45 hours a week, and I am registered for A&P1 & Microbiology for the Fall. I work M-F 8-5, and I have church Sunday, and Thursday at 7-9.. I just wanted to get some advice- My classes are Mon & Wed from 6-9, and Sat from 8-2. If I am planning on allocating Tuesday, All day Saturday, and Sunday, and my lunch & break time at work for studying, do you think I can do this?... I am really nervous about the classes, but I really know in my head that I HAVE to do this, and I have to get a good grade! I just bought the A&P coloring book & A&P & Microbiology made incrediblly easy books to read over the summer, so I have some practice, But I just wanted some advice/ tips from all of you that have done this.

Thank yoU!!

I have to ask you for advice. To take those classes, work and raise 4 kids. How do you do it with kids? I have a 7 month old and I'm really trying to figure how to find time to study and work full time. Any advice?

A 7 month old is a whole different ball game. Do you have support at home does your husband pitch in and pull the slack so you can get study time? A baby takes up ALOT of time I never would have been able to do this when the kids were small. Mine are 8,8 and 10 now but they help me out a lot and we live near my inlaws who help me out when I am in a bind, my husband travels during the week but weekends I study and take classes.

You have to find what works for you its different for everyone, but I will say as the kids get older things like this get easier you can at the very least explain to them vs a baby whom you can't, that you need to do this and why. I include my kids they help with flash cards, either making them (they love to glue and cut) or by reading and helping me memorize, they also like to go to the library with me and "study".

Hi Allie,

Like Catzy posted, having a baby is a whole different ballgame!! My children are ages 8-13, so they don't require all of my attention all the time. If my one baby had been like my last, then I could have done it, because he was so good and didn't require having my attention all day, but my first was a different story! He was high maintenance and still is!! Online classes were also a HUGE help! Still are! I just have to schedule my time to do my work and studying very well. I usually study the most from my kids bedtime till about 11:00 or so. And my kids know that I have a lot to do, so they are good about getting their homework done and eating then playing or whatever. I print out chores for them to do, and once they are done with that, they can either watch TV, play the X-box or get on the computer. Also, earplugs are a great investment!!! If you can do it, an Ipod helps! I tend to do better having some music playing in my ear than having kids screaming in my ears!!! Good luck!

I'm just finishing up A&PII and Micro. I also work and have 3 kids. I loved Micro. Loved the Labs. Just took my final for A&P and ended the class with an A. I have my Micro final on Friday and need 60 points for an A. I'm not a studier by any means and I did just fine. It can be done. Good Luck and relax it'll work out.
